CNA Representative teams succeed again at the 13-15 Junior Championships!

The ACT Junior Championships are the pinnacle of our representative season at CNA. Over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of August, our u13, u14 and u15 Maroon and Skye teams participated in what is a massive weekend of Netball against all ACT associations - Arawang, Belconnen, South Canberra and Tuggeranong. Teams played in four rounds against each association on the Saturday, before beginning with Semi-Finals on Sunday morning.

u13 Skye had an excellent campaign, finishing the rounds undefeated and top of the ladder. They came into their semi final strong and proved to be too good in the Grand Final, becoming our first champions for the 13-15 weekend!

u13 Maroon came together excellently during the rounds, only being defeated by Tuggeranong by 10. 13 Maroon worked hard during their semi final, before coming up against TNA again in the Grand Final. and put everything out on the court, however tired bodies got the better of them in the last quarter, with TNA winning by only 5. Congratulations on a very strong season 13 Maroon!

u14 Skye finished the rounds in 3rd position, to come up against TNA in the semi final to whom they lost to in their round. They came out firing and made their way to the Grand Final against South Canberra where they won by one point in a nail biter game!

u14 Maroon came together beautifully as a team over the weekend, with their strongest performances coming out in their late round against TNA and during their Sunday matches. 14 Maroon came up against TNA again in their semi final and fought right until the end to finish in 3rd position, going down by two points.

u15 Maroon's final year in the Junior Representative program at CNA was the most cohesive and strong campaign of their Junior Rep experience. Although the team did not manage to make semi-finals, each game they played demonstrated the passion and commitment they have to our amazing sport. All games were exhilaratingly close, with each of the 12 athletes putting their all out there for their team and coaches. Congratulations for the last 5 years of Junior Rep, and we at CNA look forward to your future in our Senior Representative programs!

CNA congratulates all athletes for their 2017 season and thanks their coaches, Ash (u13 Maroon), Katie (u13 Skye), Katherine P (u14 Maroon), Kate and Dayna (u14 Maroon) and Jill and Belinda (u15 Maroon) for their dedication to our program, creating the bricks and cement that make Champions.
